SHOWDOWN: Wonder Woman vs Wishes She Could Be Wonder Woman

Jaimie Alexander, SUPERSTAR of CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED NBC show "Blindspot" and somehow always in the news despite being a nobody except on Tumblr, shopped around her sob story about having no chance at Wonder Woman despite being the "obvious" choice. In her Variety interview, she managed to drop gems like (summarized by me):

  • Everyone wanted her to be Wonder Woman
  • She was (and still is) the perfect choice
  • Since she can't be WW at least she's being Marvel's equivalent by being an unfamiliar charcater to most non-Marvel stans aka 99% of Marvel's movie fanbase and solidifying her non-WW status by appearing in .5 seconds of a bunch of Marvel movies and a couple episodes of AoS
  • Life is so hard
  • No one will live up to Lynda Carter, you hear that??? NO ONE. especially not the actress who is, you know, currently playing WW, who by the way if you didn't notice isn't Jaimie Alexander, but jk she's totally excited to see what Tori can do
  • No one in history of TIME has ever played both a lead Marvel character and a DC charcter so it would have NEVER been GREEN(lantern)lighted even if DC wanted her badly enough from the (dead)POOL of actresses. She was definitely X(-men)-ed out from the running before anyone even began to run

Then, of course, Tori Casillas (playing DC's version of Lady Sif) clapped back on Twitter to no one's surprise because everyone knows Tori Casillas can't let anything go without sharing her opinions

Bless!! these women are keeping the marvel/dc rivalry alive and catty!! Whose team are you on? Marvel's Wonder Woman or DC's Lady Sif??
